Who We AreFor the past 30 years I have devoted myself to working with individuals, as well as teams and organizations, to create change that makes a lasting and meaningful difference for each person. This work has taken many forms including managing, consulting, training, facilitating and coaching. When I established Dirigo Consulting Group in 1999, I chose the Latin word Dirigo for my company because it had two special meanings for me. First, it is the motto of the State of Maine, where I grew up - and where the values that I live by today were shaped. Second, it means “I Guide” - and guidance is exactly what I am so passionate about providing to my clients.
Dirigo Consulting Group has formed a flexible team of highly talented and committed professionals who each own their own businesses and come together, as needed, to create solutions for clients who are facing the challenge of implementing and sustaining change at both the organizational and individual level.

We believe organizations sustain change when leaders

the capabilities for adapting to ongoing change.
Our coaching is grounded in the research of Emotional
Intelligence and Resilience. We are unique in that
we are trained and certified through the Hay Group to use
the Emotional Competence Inventory (ECI), the Inventory
of Leadership Styles (ILS), the Organizational Climate Survey
(OCS) and the Resilience Factor Inventory (RFI). This suite
of tools is based on years of research that has identified
and validated the competencies that differentiate superior
from average performers within organizations.
Depending on the situation and needs of our clients, we
are able to use the most appropriate 360-degree feedback
tools. This provides our clients with invaluable perspectives
on how they are perceived in their organizational setting.
With this data we can then work together to develop the
capabilities that are critical to achieve each person’s
vision of personal fulfillment and professional success.
We bring many years of experience in organizations
and one on one coaching with individuals. The combination
of this experience with a strong research foundation gives
us a unique perspective to provide practical guidance and
solutions that enable our clients to achieve personal and
